Glocally Connected is a nonprofit, humanitarian organization established in 2015 to support refugee populations, both globally and locally.
Our organization provides long-term assistance to refugee families who have fled war, famine, and terrorism in conflict zones such as Afghanistan and Syria. Our headquarters focuses on those who have been granted asylum in the United States and are currently living in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. These families are unable to return to their home country because of a well-founded fear of persecution due to their race, membership in a particular social group, political opinion, religion, or national origin.
We regard the short-term assistance provided by the Federal Government as less than sufficient to meet their minimum, basic needs after they are situated locally, as each family needs long-term integrated support and personalized assistance such as English-language instruction, employment assistance, and psycho-social support. Glocally Connected provides these services and promotes community building, civic engagement, and human rights awareness in order to support refugees as they adjust to life outside of their country of origin and integrate into American society.
Glocally Connected does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
