Glocally Connected is a nonprofit, humanitarian organization established in 2015 to support refugee populations both globally and locally.

We provide long-term assistance to refugee women, children, and families who have fled open violence and desperate conditions in Afghanistan, Syria and elsewhere, including those who have been granted asylum in the United States and are currently living in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. They are unable to return to their home country for safety reasons, including a well-founded fear of persecution due to their race, membership in a particular social group, political opinion, religion, or national origin. The short-term assistance provided by the U.S. Government is insufficient to meet their minimum, basic needs after they are placed locally, and each family needs long-term integrated support and personalized assistance, such as English-language training, job preparedness and employment assistance, and psycho-social support. Glocally Connected also promotes community building, civic engagement, and human rights awareness among the host population in order to support refugees as they adapt and adjust to life outside of their home country.
